Frost Carbon
Frost Carbon is our flagship investment and a prime example of the kind of scalable, science-driven solution we back. Their mission is to deliver the most scalable carbon capture technology available — rapidly decarbonizing power generation and heavy industry through fleets of standardized, modular capture systems.
At the heart of their technology is FrostCC™ — a cryogenic point-source carbon capture system. By cooling flue gas below the sublimation temperature of CO₂, the system causes carbon dioxide to "frost" out as dry ice, physically separating it from the gas stream before it ever reaches the atmosphere.
Frost Carbon is currently developing projects at multiple ethanol plants, with the potential to reduce CO₂ emissions by hundreds of thousands of metric tons annually — and they're just getting started.
